Founder & Lead Planner
Hi, I'm Amanda!
I'm the founder and lead planner behind Storybook Weddings. After years of working in the wedding industry, I've had the privilege of helping couples celebrate one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
My journey into weddings began while working at venues throughout Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the surrounding Northern California communities. I quickly realized I loved more than just beautiful weddings, I loved the logistics behind them. Coordinating vendors, building timelines, solving problems before they became stressful, and creating an experience where couples could truly be present on their wedding day became my passion.
When I'm not coordinating weddings, you'll usually find me at a concert, getting lost in a good book, or off on an adventure with my family and friends. I love discovering new places, making memories, and finding inspiration wherever life takes me. I believe every couple has a story worth celebrating, and it's an honor to help bring that story to life.
While I love the creativity and excitement that comes with every celebration, when your wedding day arrives, I'm calm, organized, and focused on making sure every detail is exactly where it needs to be. My goal is simple: to handle the logistics so you can spend your day celebrating with the people you love most.

Hi, I'm Shayna!
As Storybook Weddings' Lead Coordinator, I love helping bring each couple's vision to life while making sure every detail comes together seamlessly. My passion for weddings has grown through years of working alongside talented planners and wedding professionals throughout Northern California. Joining the Storybook Weddings team has allowed me to combine that experience with a shared commitment to thoughtful planning, exceptional organization, and creating a seamless experience for every couple.
Outside of weddings, I'm a Registered Nurse, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure, think quickly, and care for people during some of life's biggest moments. Whether I'm coordinating a wedding day or working as a nurse, I believe preparation, compassion, and clear communication make all the difference.
When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, playing the saxophone, and exploring the outdoors. And if you happen to see me on a Wednesday, there's a pretty good chance I'll be wearing pink. I believe life's best moments deserve to be celebrated with a little fun, a little laughter, and great company.
On your wedding day, my goal is to create a calm, organized environment where you can focus on celebrating while I take care of everything happening behind the scenes. I can't wait to help make your day as joyful and stress-free as possible.
